From restricted listing control to €1.32m in sales across Amazon markets
Cellfast was already selling on Amazon through Vendor Central when Go2Market took over the active account in 2019.
The products were established, but many listings had been created by resellers and Cellfast could not freely update the titles and descriptions. Before content could be improved, the team first had to regain the ability to edit it.
Go2Market audited the account, worked with Amazon Support on listing permissions and rebuilt product titles and descriptions using Amazon search data.
By December 2022, sales across all markets reached a record €1,324,755.

THE STARTING POINT
An established manufacturer with an existing Vendor Central operation
Cellfast manufactures garden equipment, including hoses, tools and accessories, as well as guttering systems and soffits. The company was already experienced in e-commerce and international sales before working with Go2Market.
On Amazon, Cellfast operated through the Vendor model and sold products under its own brand, both directly and through distributors.
When Go2Market took over the active account in 2019, product listings already existed. Many of them had been created by resellers rather than directly by the manufacturer.
The account therefore did not need to be launched from zero.
The challenge was to improve an established Vendor operation in which the brand did not yet have full practical control over the customer-facing product information.
THE BUSINESS CHALLENGE
The most important content needed improvement - but it could not be edited
The account review identified product pages as one of the most important areas requiring attention.
Titles and descriptions needed to be better aligned with the way customers searched on Amazon and with the information they expected to find on the product page.
There was an immediate obstacle.
Cellfast did not have the permissions required to make the intended listing changes.
That meant content optimisation could not begin simply by producing new copy. The editing restriction had to be resolved first.
This changed the order of the work: restore the ability to influence the listings, then improve what customers actually saw.
FIRST, UNDERSTAND THE ACCOUNT
The takeover began with the existing commercial and operational picture
Go2Market audited the active Vendor account before introducing wider changes.
The review covered:
account settings;
Account Health;
product listing quality;
advertising campaign profitability.
A broader sales analysis was also completed and the resulting conclusions were presented to Cellfast.
The audit confirmed that product titles and descriptions should become an early priority.
Go2Market recommended adapting the content more closely to Amazon search behaviour and customer expectations rather than leaving the existing reseller-created copy unchanged.
REGAINING CONTROL OF THE PRODUCT CONTENT
Better copy could only create value once the listings could actually be changed
Because editing access was blocked, Go2Market first worked with Amazon Support to clarify the permissions required to modify the listings.
Once that issue was resolved, new versions of the titles and product descriptions could be introduced.
This was an important dependency in the project.
The quality of the copy was not the first constraint. The account first needed the ability to publish it.
Only after that operational barrier had been removed could the content work begin to influence how Cellfast products were presented to Amazon customers.
REBUILDING THE LISTINGS AROUND AMAZON SEARCH BEHAVIOUR
The existing reseller copy was replaced with content developed for the marketplace
Go2Market’s copy team prepared new product titles and descriptions.
The work used keywords searched by customers on Amazon and specialist analytical tools to adapt the content specifically for the marketplace.
According to the published case study, the changes improved offer visibility and conversion.
The significance of the work went beyond replacing old wording.
Cellfast moved from relying on product information previously created by distributors to developing a customer-facing presentation based on its own Vendor operation and Amazon search data.
DEVELOPING THE EXISTING RANGE
The work focused on improving products already present in the account
The case study does not describe the project as a major catalogue launch.
Instead, Go2Market concentrated on areas where the existing operation showed clear deficits: listing control, written content, account quality and advertising profitability.
The work also supported promotion of one of Cellfast’s flagship product groups — axes — on Amazon.
This made the project a development of an established Vendor account rather than a replacement of the existing sales model.
THE RESULTS
Sales developed significantly after the account takeover
Before the cooperation began, Cellfast recorded €75,125.53 in sales to Amazon in March 2019.
The published case study then records:
+96% - year-on-year sales growth in Germany
€1,324,755 - record sales across all markets by December 2022
The page states that sales remained at a stable level in subsequent years and that expansion into additional markets contributed to the record value reached by December 2022.
The source also reports a 55% increase early in the cooperation, but gives conflicting information about whether this occurred after the first or second month. For that reason, the figure is not used here as a dated performance claim.
WHAT CHANGED FOR CELLFAST
The brand regained the ability to develop its own Amazon offer
At the beginning of the project, Cellfast was already generating Vendor sales, but important elements of the customer-facing offer remained constrained by listings created through other sellers.
The work described in the case study changed that position.
Listing editing was unlocked. Titles and product descriptions were rebuilt. Account quality and advertising profitability continued to be monitored, while the company developed sales across additional markets.
By December 2022, sales across all Amazon markets had reached €1,324,755.
Find what is limiting the operation before deciding what to scale
What the Cellfast Vendor Central case study shows
The Cellfast Vendor Central case study shows how an established Amazon Vendor operation can be limited by an issue that sits before the sales metric.
Cellfast was already selling through Vendor Central when Go2Market took over the active account in 2019. The products were live and the business had an existing relationship with Amazon, but many listings had been created by resellers and the manufacturer could not freely update important product information.
Go2Market first reviewed the account, identified the listing-access problem and worked with Amazon Support to restore the ability to edit the relevant content. Product titles and descriptions were then rebuilt using Amazon search data.
By December 2022, sales across all Amazon markets reached €1,324,755.
Taking over an established Vendor Central account
The Cellfast project did not begin with launching a new Amazon operation.
Go2Market took over an active Vendor account with existing products, sales and catalogue history.
The initial audit covered account settings, Account Health, product listing quality and advertising campaign profitability. A broader sales analysis was also completed before wider changes were introduced.
This made it possible to identify the areas that were limiting further development rather than treating the account as if it were starting from zero.
Restoring control over Vendor Central product content
One of the most important limitations was the inability to make the intended changes to product titles and descriptions.
Many listings had been created by resellers, and Cellfast did not have the required editing permissions.
Go2Market therefore worked with Amazon Support to clarify and restore the access required before new content could be introduced.
This changed the order of the work: first remove the operational barrier, then improve the customer-facing offer.
Optimising Vendor listings around Amazon search behaviour
Once editing access was available, Go2Market prepared new product titles and descriptions.
The work used keywords searched by customers on Amazon and specialist analytical tools to adapt the content to marketplace search behaviour.
According to the published case study, the changes improved offer visibility and conversion.
The content work therefore followed the removal of the catalogue restriction rather than being treated as an isolated copywriting project.
Developing the existing Vendor Central operation
The project focused on improving an established Vendor account rather than replacing the existing sales model.
Alongside listing access and content optimisation, Go2Market monitored account quality and advertising profitability and supported the promotion of one of Cellfast’s flagship product groups.
The business also developed sales across additional Amazon markets.
Cellfast Vendor Central results in context
Before the cooperation began, Cellfast recorded €75,125.53 in sales to Amazon in March 2019.
The published case study later records 96% year-on-year sales growth in Germany and record sales of €1,324,755 across all markets by December 2022.
The results belong specifically to Cellfast, its Vendor operation, markets and the periods described in the case study. They should not be treated as a forecast or guarantee for another Vendor Central account.
What the case demonstrates is the value of identifying what is preventing improvement before adding more activity.
